The Coshocton Chronicle · Chapter 02
Coshocton is a county seat built at the meeting of waters — the Muskingum, the Walhonding, and the Tuscarawas converging into a single river that has shaped the landscape and the people here for generations. Farming families and factory workers, church communities and quiet households — all of them part of a county that takes care of its own.
Free Funeral Home has been part of that fabric. From 788 S. Second Street, the staff here has answered calls at all hours — arranging traditional funerals, coordinating cremations, supporting veterans' families through honors, and sitting across the table with families who need to plan ahead. The work is the same as it has always been: presence, honesty, and care.
The current site runs a shared vendor template — the same template used by hundreds of funeral homes across the country. There is no Coshocton story on it. No name that belongs here. This mockup demonstrates what a site built specifically for Free Funeral Home could look like: local, personal, and worth the call.
Every person who comes into our care is treated with the same respect we would give our own family. No exception, no compromise, regardless of circumstance.
We provide a General Price List to every family before any commitment is made. Transparent pricing is an act of respect — not a policy. No surprises at any stage.
We live in Coshocton County. These streets and cemeteries are our home too. We serve them as neighbours, not as a franchise branch, and we know the difference.
Our doors — and our phones — are open every hour of every day. When you need us, we are here. A director picks up. Not a voicemail. Not a service center.
No obligation, no pressure. A conversation with one of our directors is always free.
